Additional Information
Webinar Summary
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) can be a lifesaving event when performed effectively. It can be assumed that CPR provided in the hospital setting is more successful because it is safer. Data does not support this assumption. In this webinar, Mancini will review the data available about in-hospital CPR and look at the evidence behind the current recommendations from the American Heart Association on the performance of effective CPR. Additional information about methods to promote and improve the effectiveness of CPR in your environment will be discussed. In addition, Mancini will provide takeaway points that can be immediately applied at the bedside. A question-and-answer period will conclude her presentation.
Objectives
- Discuss the current statistics about in-hospital CPR.
- Discuss the outcomes of practice and continual improvement of CPR.
- Translate the science of CPR into practice at the bedside.
